California!

California (bay area) weather is perfection. In the 70's every day this week. I have my glass door open in my room, enjoying my newly purchased plants. Why doesn't everyone live here? Oh yeah, it's expensive.

I feel a lot more grown-up today. I bought plants! I've been living like a student for the past many years and decided it was time to make a grown-up purchase. I feel very responsible for these living things. It makes me feel that I'm setting down roots, in more ways than one. When I moved to Boston, I also felt that I was there to stay. But, was yanked away for school in a town that I was less than excited to be going. So, now I'm done school and once again, trying to feel like I have a home- not just a temporary living place. The plants are helping.

And- I had a very California moment yesterday. I went to the Whole Foods grocery store and bought a bunch of organic stuff. It was expensive, but I just wanted to give it a try. Raspberries, cheese, heirloom tomatoes, king salmon. Soooo delicious.

love the plants. So glad you are starting to feel settled. I have a feeling you will never leave that place. Who doesn't want to be in that perfect weather forever!
