Random thoughts- laughing, politics, dancing, work

Saturday, November 1, 2008

Sometimes, I don't blog because I don't have anything particular to say, so here are some random thoughts:

Work is busy, really busy, but I actually enjoy most of what I do. It feels good to be engaged in my work all day long. I'm never bored.

Have I mentioned how much I love dancing shows? 'Dancing with the stars' is the best! I'm rooting for Brooke Burke.

I hate prop 8.

There are times that I really need a good laugh and reading my friend's blogs are the perfect release. They are hilarious. I wish I were that funny. but seriously, I have tears running down my cheeks laughing at some of their posts today. It's so good to laugh.

I love fall in California. It's getting windy and rainy, but still warm. the perfect combination.

I have quite a few friends that are new parents and I'm loving reading about their new parental experiences. It's amazing to see their kids grow and I'm proud of them. Go moms and dads!

Back to prop 8- I don't hate that we're voting on this issue, but I'm getting burned out on politics. I've been deluged with this for the past few months and I know it's an important issue, but I hear about it non-stop. We have firesides, calling parties, church announcements, emails, more emails, phone calls, bumper stickers, signs, commercials, more emails. Enough already. I guess I'm not a political activist at heart. Don't hate me for it.

I have to say i kind of understand. Here I don't even live in the US and I'M so glad the Elections are finally over! There have been so many emails and so much stuff and yes, I know it is important but GOODNESS! It is amazing how much makes it way all the way over here. I'm just glad it is over and the polical proproganda can be left behind! I know it is different then your thing. But I kind of understand.
