Dancing fool

Tuesday, April 20, 2010

I've always enjoyed dancing. When I was a student at BYU (just a few years ago), I decided to take a few ballroom classes to relieve the stress business school. I just fell in love with ballroom (especially the 'standard' dances, which are waltz, foxtrot, tango).

When I moved out to the Bay area, I took a few group classes, but other things came up that pulled me away. I've had this desire lately to do something more with dancing, but I've been trying to figure out how. Well....

I decided to step it up on the dancing and get a private teacher. It's kind of expensive, but I'm really excited! I'm going to do some competitions. That's right- the whole shebang. Costumes, glitter, fake eye lashes, makeup. They have these competitions where you can enter with your instructor- they call them proam (professional/amateur). I hope I don't suck. But regardless, I'm gonna have fun.
