Bows!

Sunday, December 23, 2012

I love a feminine, classy outfit. I found this bow blouse at JCrew. I couldn't resist pairing it with bow pearl earrings and a Kate Spade handbag (with a bow). Since the blouse is full, I matched it with this red pencil skirt from Ann Taylor. It is Christmas time after all. Merry Christmas everyone!

Floral Dress

Friday, December 7, 2012

I know it's not very wintery, but I love this floral dress from JCrew. It's actually a blouse and skirt (in the same pattern- hothouse floral). It's a light chiffon print and so beautiful. Hey, I live in sunny California, so I get to wear these kinds of things in the winter :)

Dress: JCrew Collection Skirt in Hothouse Floral. I also bought the blouse in the same pattern.
Shoes: Christian Louboutin Simple Pump 100 (These shoes were one of my birthday presents to myself :)

Kimono style dress

Friday, November 30, 2012

It seems rare that I find a dress I can wear without any modifications. This is a great one from Anthropologie. It has a bit of a kimono flare- which I love. It's a relaxed fit, but with a great belt to accentuate the waist. And, the peacock feathers in the print are fantastic. Love it.

Who wants to see beautiful shoes?

Thursday, November 22, 2012

Happy Thanksgiving! I bought these shoes as part of my birthday shopping spree in October. I planned this entire outfit around these shoes because I think they're just adorable! They're from Kate Spade, of course :)

Birthday Shoes

Wednesday, November 14, 2012

Here's another beautiful pair of shoes that I bought as a birthday present for myself. Who knew that cobalt blue, turquoise, and chartreuse would look so great together. I wore these to church with the skirt in this post, a white blouse, and a turquoise sweater.

Birthday shopping

Tuesday, November 6, 2012

My birthday was 2 weeks ago and I celebrated with some shopping in San Francisco.  I turned 38 this year, which seems crazy.  I feel so young, so it's strange to associate myself with being mid to late 30's.  So, I decided to treat myself with some retail therapy and bought a gorgeous pair of Christian Louboutin shoes and great dress from JCrew.  Happy birthday to me!

San Francisco Fashion Week 2012

Thursday, September 27, 2012

It's San Francisco Fashion Week this week and I'm going to a few of the runway shows. Exciting! Even though SF fashion week is not nearly as big as NY, I'm still looking forward to going to my first runway show. Of course, I've had to ponder what fabulous and chic outfit I will wear. I've decided on this fantastic dress from BCBG, which I've been drooling over for the past month. It should come in the mail today and I hope it looks stunning. Here's to hoping! I'll be posting photos from the event this weekend.

And, don't forget- I'm doing a giveaway for a beautiful accessory from InPink on this post. Be sure to check it out before this Sunday!

Nautical

Tuesday, September 25, 2012

I wore this outfit on the 4th of July and just had to fit it in one more time before fall/winter. It's very comfortable and I'm loving the red shoes. I was visiting my parents this weekend, so I had my dad take these photos. Thanks Dad!

The new black......

Thursday, September 20, 2012

I love wearing navy. It's a great option for when you don't want to wear black and it goes with so many great colors. I've paired it here with a fabulous orange/white chevron stripe blouse from Francesca's Collections.

Pink Pleats

Monday, September 17, 2012

I've been loving this color combination- pink skirt or pants with black/white top and teal/gold shoes. This skirt has intricate pleating detail that really makes it stand out. It's just a simple cut, but the color and pleating make it extra special.

Colorblock Wrap Dress

Saturday, September 15, 2012

I love a great wrap dress- you can dress it up or down so easily. I got this one from BCBG. I'm going on a short trip this weekend and it's coming with me- as it seems fairly wrinkle resistant. I'm also a huge fan of the colorblocking trend. It's easy to do and can look very modern.

Neon Kiwi

Sunday, September 9, 2012

I play the flute and perform in church on occasion. I played this weekend and wore a version of this outfit (with the Neon Rose top). The top is quite a striking color and really stood out on stage. I love this blouse so much that I bought three- in Neon Rose, Neon Kiwi, and Byzantine Blue.

Chic

Wednesday, September 5, 2012

I have a love/hate relationship with Anthropologie. I love that they have very unique pieces. Sometimes, I'll buy something that looks fabulous in the store and then realize later that it's not quite my style. When I do find something great, it becomes one of my favorites. That's how I feel about this skirt. It's so unique and lovely, with an asymmetrical shape. It's the perfect way to stand out in a crowd.

Skirt: Anthropologie (bought last year)
Top: Ann Taylor black sweater (bought last year)
Shoes: Zara High Heel Vamp Shoe

And my favorite color is......

Monday, September 3, 2012

I do love a bright yellow dress. This one is from Shabby Apple and it's perfect for summer. I paired it with ear rings in a complementary color (see this post) to add some contrast.

Dress: Shabby Apple Tuileries Dress
Belt: I bought this a long time ago, but here's another option.
Ear rings: I got these on one of the discount sites- like Gilt City or Ideeli. I just can't remember for sure.
Shoes: Enzo Angiolini Smiles Pump in Natural Leather. These are my favorite shoes. They come in several colors and I just love the shape and feel.
